Polaris

Polaris is a prototype for routing hospital alerts to the clinician best placed to respond, built by a team at LA Hacks 2026. Devpost lists it as the Best Social Impact Hack winner.

The idea

In a busy hospital, an alert is only useful if it reaches the right person quickly. Polaris looks at priority, proximity, availability, and current workload to decide who should get a given alert, and it accepts either typed or voice input. It has two sides: an operator view for sending and tracking alerts, and a clinician view for receiving them.

My role

This was team work at a hackathon. Public sources don't break out individual contributions, so I don't want to overstate mine. I'd rather point you to the project and talk through the specifics directly.

Scope

Polaris was built against mocked records during the event. It's a prototype that demonstrates the routing idea, not clinical software used in a hospital.
